Renault Arkana hybrid

The Arkana is the only hybrid in our fleet and it makes most sense in town: at low speed it switches to its electric motor and moves in silence.

The coupe SUV silhouette draws attention, but the real argument lies elsewhere: 480 litres of boot space, a high driving position that reassures on the Agafay tracks, and a remarkably smooth automatic gearbox.

Expect around 5 litres per 100 kilometres in mixed use. For a car this size, that is remarkable.
