Rental conditions
These conditions apply to every rental agreed with Desire Cars and are reproduced in full in the contract you sign.
1. Driver and licence
The driver must be at least 21 years old, 25 for premium categories, and hold a licence valid for at least one year. Foreign licences are accepted without translation for tourist stays. Any additional driver must be declared and named in the contract.
2. Deposit and excess
A deposit of 3 000 to 10 000 dirhams depending on the category is taken at handover and returned in full, subject to the condition of the vehicle and the absence of offences.
3. Fuel
The vehicle is supplied with a full tank and must be returned full.
4. Mileage
Mileage is unlimited within Morocco. Leaving the national territory requires prior written authorisation.
5. Insurance
All our vehicles carry comprehensive insurance including third party liability. Not covered: tyres, windscreen and underbody damage, driving under the influence, driving by an undeclared third party, and use on unmade tracks.
6. Collection and return
A photographic condition report is drawn up jointly at departure and return. Delays beyond two hours are charged as an additional day.
7. Cancellation
Any booking may be cancelled free of charge up to forty eight hours before collection. After that, one rental day is due.
8. Fines
Fines incurred during the rental period remain the renter's responsibility, including when notified to us after the vehicle is returned.
9. Breakdown and assistance
If the vehicle is immobilised through no fault of yours, we provide recovery and, if necessary, a replacement vehicle as quickly as possible.
10. Personal data
Information collected when booking and signing is used solely to perform the rental. Details appear in our privacy policy.
